Quality Assurance Consultants is a company specializing in thermal processing services and manufacturing for a diverse market base. Company growth will be organic and through manufacturing of products for energy, aerospace, Semiconductor and Medical-related markets. We are looking for a qualified Quality Assurance Inspector. A Quality Assurance Inspector tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Knowledge basic statistical terms and techniques, how to plot data, and how to recognize out-of-control conditions.
* Knowledge of the definition of PDCA and understand the team concept.
* Understand types of measurement, measurement terminology, and the different types of measurement scales.
* Know the difference between accuracy and precision and can select the appropriate measuring tools and techniques.
* Knowledge in how to measure using surface plate layouts.
* Must be able to identify/ recognize inspection errors and initiate resolution.
* Must have basic calibration knowledge.
* Can read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical, major, and minor characteristics.
* General knowledge of ASMEY14.5M, working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
* Can use inspection planning tools and perform a product audit; determine sample size for lots; pull random samples.
* Have knowledge of testing methods.
* Can identify and report nonconforming material.
* Must understand traceability (product, material, and calibration).
* Have a strong knowledge of basic mathematical operations and perform measurement


* High-school diploma or GED plus three years of on-the-job experience in quality inspection or a related field or Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school plus one year of on-the-job experience.
* US Resident or Citizen is required.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and technical drawings.
